Goodman Italy appoints new country manager and strengthens Milan team

Thursday, 18 February 2021

To further strengthen the growth of its business in Italy, Goodman, one of the world’s leading industrial property specialists, has appointed Stefano Fierro as country manager.  Stefano will be joined by three new team members to help deliver strategic growth in the logistics sector.

With 3.7 million square meters of assets under management in Europe, the global company has firmly established itself as the partner of choice for developing and managing high-quality industrial properties, especially last mile urban logistics facilities, with a strong commitment to sustainability.

Limited supply in our markets and robust customer demand has meant that growing the team in Italy and sourcing brownfield sites is a key focus of Goodman. Logistics and warehousing are playing an important role in providing essential infrastructure for the digital economy, and with the addition of Stefano and his team, Goodman will be well positioned to deliver customers’ long-term needs.

Three new Milan-based team members will join Stefano – including two technical managers who will strengthen the team by managing completion and delivery of buildings; and a business manager, who will focus on finding and acquiring new sites to accelerate Goodman’s Italian business.

Commenting on his appointment, Stefano Fierro said: “I am honoured to lead the Goodman team in Italy – being a market that is experiencing rapid growth and transformation. We are focused on delivering long term sustainable solutions for our customers, local residents and the authorities.”

Stefano joined Goodman Italy in April 2018, as Senior technical manager. During his first year, he supervised the development of the first last mile logistics centre in Rimini for Amazon logistics. Shortly after, Stefano started an MBA at ESCP Business School. His education and experience in project management and real estate, make Stefano ideally suited to lead Goodman’s Italian team into the future of the rapidly expanding logistics sector.
